Aero-tow at the GCRCC field
Every first saturday of the month, a group of us head out to the
GCRCC
field for areotow with our scale sailplanes.
The GCRCC ( Greater Cincinnat Radio Control Club) has a very nice field, with a
paved runway, which is great for the
tow takeoffs, but they also have lots of flat grass area to land on, if you
don't want to put your precious sailplane on to
the hard asphalt...
The tug , a Telemaster with a OS 4-stroke ( sorry, I don't know which model ) is
provided by Paul Siegel, has no
trouble whatsover towing our 4m sailplanes, and the tows are expertly executed
by Jim Ryan.
Here some pictures taken on a not so nice day, I will be posting more in the
future.
